CTV News has learned a convicted sexual offender, who police issued a public warning about last week, is once again behind bars.
Police said Thursday that Bruce Windsor, 51, had been arrested and charged with possession and production of child pornography, along with several counts of breach of probation.
According to police, Windsor was living in a halfway house in downtown Edmonton when he was taken into custody.
Police said no victim was involved.
Windsor had been closely monitored by the EPS Behavioural Assessment Unit, which notified police of the alleged offences.
On Monday, Jan. 28, Edmonton Police issued a public warning over Windsor – who was set to be released that week after serving two years in an Alberta Psychiatric facility - he was officially released on Feb. 1.
The charges he had been convicted of included possession of, printing and publishing child pornography.
Before the most recent warning, Windsor had been the subject of a similar warning back in 2010.
A court date for the charges has not been released, the BAU is still investigating the case.
