A 22-year-old man, who had been wanted by police in connection to the April slaying of a woman, has been found and arrested.

Police said Wacey Dillon Boudreau, 22, was found Thursday, June 2, 2016 at about noon by West Division Edmonton Police Service officers patrolling the area of 124 Street and 116 Avenue – when they found a man who was drinking in the bushes.

The man was identified as Boudreau – and was arrested without incident.

Boudreau was wanted under an Alberta-wide warrant in connection to the death of Nikita Lee Healy, 26, who was found dead in a suite in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street Wednesday, April 20.

An autopsy determined she died from a gunshot wound, and her death became the city’s 19th homicide of the year.

The accused is facing a total of 36 charges – including first-degree murder, firearm-related offences, forcible confinement and fifteen charges of breach of recognizance.
