Edmonton police have been investigating reports that a man engaged in inappropriate physical contact with children at a southeast park.

Investigators said the incident happened at Blair McPherson Park between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.

Reports indicate the man tried to interact with several children in the area and allegedly made inappropriate contact with at least three kids.

The children reported the incident to their parents when they returned home.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, black sport shorts with red and white stripe and a while ball cap.

The man was believed to be accompanied by two other people and they left in a white or silver four-door vehicle.
