Police are touting the efforts of their officers who took part in an operation targeting people with outstanding warrants.
Phase 2 of Project Operation Warrant Execution kicked off on November 14, and ended on November 25 – in that time, 45 officers executed nearly 1,500 warrants.
Individuals with outstanding warrants for serious crimes, including aggravated sexual assault, manslaughter, assault, robberies and criminal traffic offences were targeted.
Police were working outside of the city to track down these wanted individuals as well, with some suspects found in Ontario, Louisiana, and one as far away as the Philippines.
