A man allegedly discharged bear spray on a woman and a taxi driver during an argument at a south Edmonton motel Sunday afternoon.

Edmonton police were called to the Knights Inn motel in the area of 66 Avenue and 104 Street at around noon by the front desk.

Police said a man and a woman were arguing inside a motel room when the man discharged bear spray on her. The argument then moved outside the room, and when a taxi driver saw the fight and attempted to intervene, the man then sprayed him, too.

The man who discharged the bear spray on the woman and taxi driver fled the scene.

The two victims were treated on scene.
