Edmonton police said a man was facing a number of charges, for his alleged role in the theft of a vehicle, which also had a passenger inside.
Back on Tuesday, February 28, at about 2:30 p.m., Edmonton police responded to the area of 159 Street and 87 Avenue after a vehicle was reportedly stolen.
The truck had been left running with a 46-year-old male passenger inside.
Over the next few hours, police searched for the vehicle, passenger and suspect. The vehicle and suspect were later tracked down in Stony Plain, while the passenger was found a few blocks away from Meadowlark Mall.
On Thursday, police announced Brandon Salteaux, 24, has been charged with kidnapping, theft of a motor vehicle and assault.
Police are still investigating.
