Alberta RCMP have arrested a man on outstanding warrants after he failed to report back to his halfway house in Edmonton.

Keith Roland Carifelle, 27, was taken into custody late Friday night by Peace Regional RCMP and High Prairie Police Dog Service.

Carifelle was wanted on outstanding warrants after he failed to return to his halfway house in Edmonton on August 11.

He has been serving a five year sentence for charges from an incident where two RCMP officers were injured.

That incident happened 90 kilometres northeast of Peace River in March, 2010.

Officers were attempting to break up a fight between occupants at a residence in Cadotte Lake when they were punched and kicked.

Authorities said they believed that brass knuckles were used against the officers.

A male officer was treated for cuts, abrasions, swelling and broken nose while a female officer was taken to an Edmonton hospital after she received broken facial bones and other related injuries.

Carifelle was charged with two other men.
