There are a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies planned in Edmonton.

Here are some location and time details for just a few ceremonies taking place on Nov. 11:

Beverly Cenotaph

Church service begins at 9:30 a.m. at Maranatha Church (corner of 47 Street and 119 Avenue).

A procession down the street to the Beverly cenotaph at 40 Street and 118 Avenue for a wreath-laying service will follow.

Butterdome

Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Butterdome at Van Vliet Centre, U of A, at 89 Avenue and 112 Street.

Join the Lt.-Gov. to pay respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Canada’s past conflicts.

Kingsway

A rededication of the Kingsway Legion cenotaph begins at 10:15 a.m. at 14339 50 Street.

The ceremony will be followed by a Remembrance Day service at 11 a.m.

Alberta Aviation Museum

Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Alberta Aviation Museum 11410 Kingsway Avenue.

City Hall

Ceremony is from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A wreath-laying service will conclude proceedings outside on the City Hall plaza at 10:30 a.m.

100 Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon to accommodate the Remembrance Day ceremony.

Prince of Wales Armouries

The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum will be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre at 10440 108 Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

West Edmonton Mall

Jasper Place Branch #255 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Remembrance Day service at West Edmonton Mall Phase II, Level One, Ice Palace, from 10 a.m. to noon.

CTV will also be broadcasting a Remembrance Day one-hour special from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time).

The special will be hosted by CTV National's Lisa LaFlamme.
