Strathcona County RCMP have arrested and charged a woman in connection with trafficking the potent painkiller fentanyl and numerous other opioids to members of the community.

Police executed a search warrant at an Edmonton home on Thursday and as a result seized the following:

  • 41 fentanyl tablets
  • 17.86 grams of heroin
  • 28.72 grams of methamphetamine
  • 191 dilaudid tablets
  • 40 hydromorphone tablets
  • Six oxycondone tablets
  • An undisclosed amount of cash

Kelly Margaret Crosby, 54, faces several counts of trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by a crime.

Strathcona County RCMP said drug unit officers continue to battle an increase in fentanyl use and trafficking in the area.

Police would like to remind residents about the high number of fentanyl-related deaths that have occurred in Alberta over the past several months.
