Three people are in an Edmonton hospital with serious injuries following a fire that destroyed a hotel in Bashaw, Alberta early Sunday.
RCMP and firefighters responded to a report of a fire at about 1:15 a.m. at the Bashaw Motor Inn located in the area of 44 Avenue and 55 Street.

Investigators have not determined if the cause of the fire is suspicious, RCMP said, and the investigation will take “at least one day.”
Bashaw is 135 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
