Bonnyville RCMP said a man and a woman are facing charges stemming from the death of an 83-year-old man, whose body was found last weekend.
On Sunday, October 16, the body of Alfred Wagner, 83, of Bonnyville was found in his home.
His death launched an investigation by Bonnyville RCMP and the RCMP Major Crime Unit based in Edmonton.
On Tuesday, October 18, Frank James Frenchman, 25, of the Bonnyville and Kehewin area was arrested near Edmonton – and Arizona Chastity Frenchman, 20, was arrested Wednesday night in Edmonton. Both are charged with first degree murder.
RCMP said this was a random act, and there was no previous relationship between the victim and the suspects.
Frank Frenchman is scheduled to appear in a Bonnyville courtroom on Wednesday, November 1.
