RCMP in Whitecourt said two were facing a number of drug charges, days after a home was searched in that town.

Whitecourt RCMP said on Friday, August 26, at about 5 p.m., officers executed a search warrant for methamphetamine and cocaine at a home in town.

Police said a man and woman were arrested in connection to the search, and drugs, cash and other property was seized.

On Monday, RCMP said investigators seized 88.4 grams of cocaine, 81.8 grams of methamphetamine, cash in Canadian dollars and a vehicle used for criminal activity.

Police said the two accused: Tyler Anthony Kaurin, 23, and Danica Grieves-Pollard, 18, were facing a number of charges including: trafficking in cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and having proceeds from criminal activities.

RCMP said Kaurin was on parole at the time of his arrest and remains in custody, Grieves-Pollard was released on bail, and is scheduled to appear in a Whitecourt courtroom on September 13.
