Edmonton Police said an autopsy had been conducted following the death of an individual who was found in a home during a fire, and investigators had determined the death wasn’t suspicious.

Officers were called to a home in the area of 121 Avenue and 123 Street at about 10:40 p.m. Friday, by firefighters.

Crews said a man was found inside the home with signs of trauma – he was treated on the scene and taken to hospital, where he died.

Initially, the death was handled as a suspicious death, and an autopsy was carried out Tuesday.

Now, police said the man’s death is considered non-criminal.
