As the community of Grande Prairie begins to heal following the tragic deaths of four teen boys, and the hospitalization of a fifth after a hit and run last weekend, Alberta's two CFL teams are doing their part to honour the young football players.

For the rest of the 2011 season, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Calgary Stampeders will wear the logo of the Grande Prairie Warriors football team on their helmets.

All five teens involved in the crash played on the Grande Prairie Composite High School football team.

The announcement comes as the City of Grande Prairie mourns the deaths of 16-year-olds Matt Deller, and Vincent Stover, and 15-year-olds Tanner Hildebrand, and Walter Borden-Wilkins, and holds out hope for 15-year-old Zak Judd, the lone survivor of the crash.

Judd is currently in critical but stable condition in an Edmonton hospital.

"It's definitely a tragedy of great proportions," Eskimos coach Kavis Reed said. "My heart goes out to the families and the school and the community that's affected by this."

"This tragedy has affected so many people in the football community and beyond," Lyle Bauer, president and COO of the Calgary Stampeders said. "We're pleased to team up with the Eskimos and do our part to pay tribute to Matthew, Tanner, Vincent and Walter and their families,

"We also want to send our best wishes for a full recovery to Zachary."

The Eskimos will play against the BC Lions in Vancouver on Saturday, and the Stampeders will face the Montreal Alouettes on their home turf on Sunday.
