The City is hosting open houses to gather input from Edmontonians on future plans for the Northlands Coliseum.

Between 3 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, and Thursday, November 17, City officials are hosting open houses at the Commonwealth Recreation Centre where Edmontonians can share their feedback on the future of the Coliseum.

The City is looking for input to help come up with other options for changing the Coliseum into a sport and recreation facility.

Northlands officials have proposed converting the arena into a six-sheet ice arena. The idea is part of Northlands’ Vision 2020 plan.

City officials are also looking for organizations interested in partner to operate, invest or provide programing and services at the Coliseum after it is repurposed. The deadline to submit a request for expression of interest is December 9.

A public survey to gather feedback is also available online, it was launched November 16, and will end December 1.
