Death of woman in Sherwood Park called a homicide

RCMP east of Edmonton said Thursday that an autopsy had been completed following the death of a woman in the Sherwood Park area.

On Wednesday evening, RCMP said their Major Crimes Unit and Strathcona County RCMP was investigating the death of a woman who was found inside a home that afternoon.

Later Thursday, police said an autopsy had determined the woman’s death was a homicide, but the cause of death was not being released.
