On Monday, RCMP in northern Alberta said officers who were canvasing in Fort McMurray came across a few creatures in a city that was completely evacuated days before.
According to pictures posted on Twitter by Alberta RCMP, officers working in Fort McMurray have encountered horses, and even a potbellied pig while on patrol.
Officials said all animals found are turned over to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo bylaw services, who will keep them until their owners are found.
