Mark Marek has been granted bail, for a second time, after being arrested for breaching conditions of his previous bail conditions.

Marek was arrested by EPS investigators and charged on Tuesday, July 17 with corrupting morals – he posted a video on his website, Best Gore, which allegedly showed the grisly murder of student Lin Jun in Montreal earlier this year.

Police believe Marek knew the video came from the man charged with the homicide, Luka Magnotta, but still posted it on his website.

He was released on $7,500 cash bail Wednesday, July 18, under a number of conditions – including he was supposed to maintain an address in Edmonton.

On July 25, Edmonton police issued an arrest warrant for Marek after police were unable to locate him - breaching one of the conditions of his bail.

Mark Marek was arrested July 26 after police received a tip from a citizen and was picked up at a truckstop in Nisku, AB.

His lawyer says the breach was due to the accused having no income and no place to live.

Marek was granted $500 bail, with no deposit. The Crown is not opposing this release.
