Autopsy results have determined a man found dead overnight in a central Edmonton neighbourhood was murdered.
Police said officers were called to the area of 99 Avenue and 111 Street at about 10 p.m. Thursday – on reports of an injured and unconscious man in the area.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a man in a park in the area – paramedics who responded pronounced the man dead on scene.
The Medical Examiner performed an autopsy Friday, and identified the man as Curtis Raymond Dugray, 51, of Edmonton.
Results of the autopsy also confirmed the man was murdered.
Homicide detectives are dealing with the investigation, police said they’re canvassing the neighbourhood for more information on what took place.
