Strathcona County RCMP are investigating after two girls were allegedly approached by a suspicious man during their lunch break Tuesday.
RCMP said at about 12:30 p.m., the two female students were approached at the Woodbridge Farms Elementary School in Sherwood Park. They said the male went on to school property and approached the two girls, who were sitting alone near the southeast part of the school grounds.
The girls ran away and the incident was reported to school staff. Police were called to the area in an attempt to find the individual.
Parents of students at the school were notified of the incident.
The man is described as:
- In his early 20s
- Average build
- Facial stubble
The suspect was reportedly wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants and brown shoes.
