Edmonton police are investigating a shooting that has left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Police say they responded to reports of shots being fired in the area of 105 Street and 83 Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
EPS said the man was shot inside a suite in an apartment building in the area. Officers arrived on the scene to find a 20-year-old man in distress, with a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics treated the man on the scene, and he was taken to hospital.
Police initially told CTV News that the man had died of his injuries, but later revealed that the man was in critical condition in hospital.
Investigators said it wasn’t clear if the shooting was criminal or non-criminal in nature.
