Edmonton police investigators are on the scene of a suspicious death in an area east of downtown Monday afternoon.
Investigators have roped off an area near an apartment building on Jasper Avenue and 82 Street Monday, as they began their investigation.
Police were called to the area after 10:30 a.m., after an employee failed to show up for work Monday morning, the body was found inside an apartment suite in a building in the area.
Police are only calling the death suspicious - no details were available to describe the deceased,
Investigators said because of the state the body was found in, the person’s gender couldn’t be confirmed.
The EPS Homicide Unit has been called to investigate the incident.
An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
