Motorcycle riders had the chance to find out how loud their vehicles are Saturday, at a free noise clinic put on by Edmonton Police.

During the clinic Saturday afternoon, bikers had their motorcycles checked to see if they were in compliance with the city's noise bylaw.

"I thought the bike was probably close or a little bit over," motorcycle owner Jim Durovick said after having his bike tested. "I come in a little bit under, so we're good."

Motorcycle owners whose bikes failed the tests were not given tickets, but they were given a warning, and information on how to fix it.

Edmonton police are holding one more noise clinic Saturday, June 11 at the same location, Gateway Boulevard and 71 Avenue near the NAIT Souch Campus.

Police will begin handing out tickets for noise violations after June 11.
