The RCMP has issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a 28-year-old man following a fatal stabbing at The Alamo Bar in downtown Sexsmith Sunday.
At 1 a.m., officers responded to the scene of a multiple stabbing, about 20 kilometres north of Grande Prairie.
One of four adults brought to hospital died from their injuries.
Jordan Joseph Wendland is wanted for second degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault. Investigators say the 28-year-old could be on his way to British Columbia or Southern Alberta.
Police describe Wendland as:
- Caucasian male
- 5 feet 11 inches (180 centimetres)
- 161 pounds (73 kilograms)
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
Wendland is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
