An Edmonton man has died after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 16.

RCMP said a 67-year-old man heading east on the highway crossed the centre median west of Highway 44 just after 5 p.m. Friday.

He was hit by two other vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers in the two other vehicles were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police will not be releasing the identity of the man.

Mounties continue to investigate but said that drugs and alcohol were not suspected.
