Grande Prairie RCMP has begun an investigation into human remains found south of Grande Prairie.
RCMP said a person camping in the area found the remains and contacted police just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.
The remains were found 60 kilometres south of Grande Prairie on the Forestry Trunk Road.
Resources from the Grande Prairie detachment are investigating, and say it could take several days to examine the area and determine the identity of the remains.
