A house located near Stony Plain sustained heavy damage after a fire broke out Saturday, leaving a Parkland County family without a home.
Officials told CTV News Sunday that the fire, at a home south of Stony Plain, started early Saturday.
The Parkland County Fire Chief said ten people were in the home at the time, but all of them, including pets, escaped safely.
An investigation into the cause is underway, but it’s believed the fire started outside the home.
The house suffered extensive damage, but wasn’t completely destroyed in the fire.
