Edmonton police said Friday that a second individual had been charged in connection to the death of a man who was found seriously injured in late September.

Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section investigators said Duncan Farrell, 22, was arrested Thursday, October 13, and he was charged with first degree murder.

Back on September 30, Levi Simpson, 27, was charged with first degree murder.

Simpson and Farrell have been charged in connection to the death of Christopher Lee Giroux, 46.

Giroux was found in the area of 107 Avenue and 110 Street on Sunday, September 25, suffering from obvious trauma to his chest.

He was treated and taken to hospital by paramedics, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
