The Alberta Motor Association (AMA) has updated their smartphone app to help drivers find the best gas price.
In a press release issued Friday the organization said the real-time Gas Price Monitor tool will display gas prices and station locations to help motorists locate the cheapest price near them or on their route.
According to the release, 64 per cent of Albertans said they would driver an extra kilometer to save three cents a litre on gas while over 80 per cent would drive that distance to save five cents a litre.
The app is available for Android or Apple devices and is free to all members.
