Officials with ALERT Edmonton said a member of the Hells Angels is facing a number of drug-related charges, following his arrest earlier in the week.

ALERT said Dominic DiPalma Jr. was arrested February 10 at a house in Edmonton, and investigators also seized nearly two kilograms of cocaine and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

Investigators said DiPalma Jr., 35, is a full-patch member of the Edmonton-based Westridge chapter of the Hells Angels.

He’s facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of drug possession and breach of recognizance.

It’s alleged the accused was involved in drug trafficking in northern Alberta – his arrest and charges came following an investigation that started in August 2015, and ended with the search of three homes on February 10. Two homes in southeast Edmonton were searched, along with another home in Sherwood Park.

In those searches, ALERT also seized just over $100,000 in cash proceeds of crime that money will go to the province’s Civil Forfeiture Office to be reviewed.

The accused was one of six Hells Angels members arrested on organized crime charges as part of another ALERT investigation – that investigation is scheduled to go to trial in March.
