RCMP in Sylvan Lake announced Friday that a dangerous driving incident that was caught on dashcam had led to charges against a Calgary man.

On Friday, RCMP said Kunal Anand, 20, of Calgary had been charged with dangerous driving.

The charges stem from an incident that took place on Sunday, April 10, where a car was seen speeding between two other vehicles northbound on a two-lane section of the Queen Elizabeth II Highway near Bowden.

The entire incident was recorded on a dashcam used by another driver, that video went viral.

Police said Anand is scheduled to appear in a Red Deer courtroom on May 18.
