CTV News has learned an Edmonton firefighter facing several charges relating to a marijuana grow-op bust, has been relieved of duty.

33-year-old Najeeb (Jeebo) Manah has been charged on four drug-related charges. Edmonton Fire Rescue initially told CTV News that Manah had been pulled from any duties that would put him in the public eye. Officials now say he has been "relieved of duty."

Mannah is scheduled to appear in court on March 22.
