Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help to find the original owners of a stamp collection and sports cards that were recovered in the spring of 2016.

Back on March 20, 2016, police were called to reports of recovered stolen property in the area of 179 Street and 96 Avenue. Officers arrived to find a variety of items, including mail, identity documents, cheques and firearms.

Investigators found those items had been stolen from mailboxes and underground parkades in the area – more than 100 victims were identified.

Among the items stolen was a stamp collection and a number of collector sports cards. Police released photos of the items Wednesday in an effort to track down the original owners of the items.

Police said Aaron Bye, 24, has been charged with possession of undelivered mail, possession of identity documents, possession of stolen credit cards and possession of stolen property.

Police are asking anyone with details on who owns the property to call the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone.
