A suspect wanted in connection for two violent assaults in the downtown area has been arrested, police said on Wednesday.

Sharon Houle, also known as Sharon Berard, 36, was wanted on a number of charges in relation to two separate assaults.

In one case, it’s alleged a man was attacked with a weapon, after a suspect forced herself into a home in the area of 100 Street and 106 Avenue.

In another case, downtown officers were called to a stabbing at a high-rise residence in the same downtown area.

The man in the first case suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A woman in the second case suffered from severe knife injuries.

Houle was wanted on a number of charges including uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault, housebreaking, and two counts each of possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public and housebreaking and aggravated assault.

Police say she was arrested Tuesday night.
