Edmonton police have charged a 23-year-old Edmonton man in relation to a homicide that occurred over the weekend.
Coda William Fika has been charged with second- degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Fika was taken into custody at the scene shortly after the homicide occurred.
The Medical Examiner's autopsy concluded that the victim, 22-year-old Jeremie Auger, died as the result of multiple stab wounds.
Auger was found bleeding on the front steps of a northeast Edmonton home early Saturday morning.
Paramedics were called to a home near 54th Street and 113th Avenue just before 2 a.m. and found a man bleeding on the front steps. The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
There were a number of children seen escorted from the home following the incident, but police say none of the people in the home were involved in the incident.
Fika is set to appear in court Oct. 26th.
