Edmonton Police said the suspicious death of a senior earlier this week is being handled as a homicide.
Police said the body of Lawrence Semeniuk, 67, was found dead in his apartment suite in the area of 117 Avenue and 95 Street.
Officers were called to the apartment at about 10:45 a.m., and found the circumstances of Semeniuk’s death to be suspicious.
After that, Homicide Detectives were called in to investigate.
An autopsy was completed, but detectives are still waiting for toxicology results to come back before determining the cause of death.
