EPS homicide detectives have charged a 38-year-old Edmonton man with second-degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with a stabbing incident in the city’s northeast Friday night.
According to police, officers were called to a home in the area of 119 Avenue and 56 Street just after 11 p.m. on September 25, where they found a 42-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.
The woman, identified as Jennifer Otway, was taken to hospital, but later died from her injuries.
Officials said her husband, Jason Andrew Otway, 38, will appear in court on Monday.
An autopsy is also scheduled.
