Nearly five months after a serious collision, an Edmonton man is now facing a street racing charge. The crash happened in early Oct. in the area of 137 Ave. and 142 St.
Police say a 23-year-old male driver of a Ford Mustang lost control while travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on 137 Avenue.
His car then went over a concrete barrier and landed on the hood of a PT Cruiser. The car's two occupants, a 45-year-old male and a nine-year-old boy, were not seriously injured in the crash.
The Mustang driver was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Michael Kippen, 23, will appear in an Edmonton courtroom on April 1st.
