The difficult task of laying the young victims of a collision in Grande Prairie to rest has begun for four families in the northern Alberta city.

The tragic week for the community ended on a sad note, with four separate funerals for the teenage boys killed in the hit-and-run crash last weekend.

The family of AGE-year-old Walter Borden-Wilkins held a funeral Thursday, and a service for AGE-year-old Tanner Hildebrand was held Thursday evening.

The services for 16-year-olds Vincent Stover and Matt Deller were held Friday.

Zak Judd, the lone survivor of the crash, is still receiving treatment in an Edmonton hospital.

The funerals were held a day after both Canadian Football League teams based in Alberta announced they would honour the teenagers affected by the crash.

For the rest of the 2011 season, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Calgary Stampeders will wear the logo for the Grande Prairie Composite High School Warriors football team.

All five teenage boys played on the team.
