Police investigating suspicious death in west Edmonton

Edmonton Police Service officials said Monday that an investigation was underway, after a male was found in a west end apartment complex early that morning.

Police said officers were called to a suite in the area of 156 Street and 87 Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive male inside.

The EPS Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and said the death is considered suspicious – an autopsy had not yet been scheduled late Monday morning.
