Nearly one month after police sought out more information from the public related to a sexual assault investigation involving a teacher at an Edmonton school, a second teen has come forward, and more charges have been laid.

On March 11, police held a news conference, asking for more information in an investigation that had started the week before when it was reported that a 15-year-old girl had been having a sexual relationship with Piotr Zaloba, 27, a teacher at St. Basil School.

At the time, police had charged Zaloba with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and three counts of luring a child.

Police said Wednesday that their call for more information resulted in another complainant coming forward.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl gave them information connected to an alleged sexual assault involving an Edmonton Catholic School District teacher.

As a result, Zaloba is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, and two counts of luring a child.

Police said the case is still under investigation.

CTV News has learned Zaloba was fired after the first allegations became public in mid-March.
