Sylvan Lake RCMP have asked for the public’s help locating an urn that was stolen from a rural residence.

Police said a residence south of Sylvan Lake was broken into sometime between December 17 and 27.

Many items were taken including an urn containing the ashes of a loved one, two kittens, jewelry, 11 firearms and two Samurai swords among other items.

The urn has been described as a handmade wooden box with a floral design.

Officials have requested that the person responsible for the theft drop the item off at a police station or call Crime Stoppers to provide the location for it.
