Canadian Border Services Agency said Thursday the largest single amount of marijuana seized by the agency this year was made in Edmonton at the start of 2013.

Officials said on January 18, officers conducted a routine investigation on luggage coming off of a flight from Jamaica.

After all of the luggage was removed from the flight and passengers cleared, seven unclaimed bags remained – officers opened one of them and smelled marijuana.

All seven bags were examined, and officers found they contained bundles of bricks of marijuana – weighing a total of 200 kilograms.
