A few showers moved through the Capital Region early this morning.
It looks dry for most of today in the Edmonton area.  Cloudy with a few sunny breaks for the morning & afternoon hours.
We might see a shower move across the region late this evening as a surface trough slide west to east across Central & Northern Alberta.

In Eastern Alberta - cloudy, cool & some showers today.  For most areas, this probably won't be a full day of steady rain.
But...most regions should get at least SOME precipitation.
Western sections of the province will get some breaks in the cloud & then a risk of a scattered shower late this afternoon as the trough develops.
Wind will also be a factor in the NW today & Saturday.  Gusts should be in the 50 km/h range later today & 40 gusting to 60 Saturday morning.
In the Capital Region, it'll likely get a bit windy overnight & early Saturday morning.

Temperatures are expected to top out in the mid-teens today & Saturday.
We'll climb to the 18-23 degree range for Sun/Mon/Tue.
BUT...the long range forecast has highs dropping back to the 10-15 range for the end of next week.
