A man is dead after being hit by a car along Highway 14, just south of Sherwood Park, on Friday night.
Strathcona County RCMP said at around 9:30 p.m. emergency personnel were called to the scene of a collision between a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and a cyclist.
According to police, a man on a bike was attempting to cross Highway 14, just east of Highway 216, when he was hit by an eastbound driver.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
No word on charges and no other details have been released.
The investigation continues.
