Edmonton police said Thursday that the death of a man found in a west end apartment Monday had been determined to be the city’s most recent homicide.

Back on Monday, October 31, officers were called to an apartment in the area of 156 Street and 87 Avenue, and found an unresponsive male inside.

On Thursday, police said the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed the autopsy on Tuesday, and determined Kendall Dale Rowan, 28, had died as a result of a stab wound.

Police said the EPS Homicide Section has not taken suspects into custody, and the investigation continues.

EPS said Rowan’s death is the city’s 39th homicide of 2016.
