Thorsby RCMP are trying to identify a suspect, who is believed to have used a stolen garbage truck to break into a bank, and take an ATM machine.
Police said officers responded to an alarm at the Bank of Montreal early Monday morning, upon arrival they found the bank had been broken into and an ATM machine was missing.
Investigators believe a garbage truck was used to carry out the crime and the suspect abandoned the truck east of Thorsby on Township Road 492.
It’s believed the suspect fled in a white, early 2000’s Chevrolet/GMC extended cab truck.
RCMP are asking that anyone with information related to this case call police or Crime Stoppers.
