Days after she was found dead in a home in a southeast Edmonton community, police have identified the city’s most recent homicide victim.

Police said Wednesday that Yeny Alfaro, 26, had been found dead Sunday evening in the Oakridge Mobile Home Park.

The autopsy was completed Tuesday; police said the Medical Examiner confirmed the death was a homicide.

Officers had been called to the mobile home park Sunday, and found the woman’s body at about 7 p.m.

The homicide is not believed to be random, and police said a suspect has been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
