A Saddle Lake man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Creedance Cardinal.
RCMP said Cardinal had been reported missing by his mother on May 15.
She told police that her son was last seen in the early morning of May 14.
Investigators discovered the remains of Cardinal in a secluded location of Gordon McGilvery’s property.
McGilvery was arrested on May 15 and was charged on May 17.
He has been remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on May 19.
An autopsy has been scheduled to be held in Edmonton next week.
Saddle Lake is about 170 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
