RCMP said Monday that a woman who was found suffering from serious injuries on a gravel road Sunday, near the Samson Cree Nation, had died.
Police said Christy Ramone Crane, 25, of Maskwacis, was found on the rural road suffering from injuries early Sunday morning.
Her condition when she was taken to hospital wasn’t clear – police said Crane succumbed to her injuries overnight.
RCMP are investigating the death, and an autopsy had been scheduled for Tuesday.
Police said investigators weren’t able to confirm whether Crane’s death was criminal in nature, but asked any information that could help police determine what happened in the hours leading up to Crane being found.
